The Arm'S Tech Crew
-------------------
Check out our Web server at:
http://sidonie.imag.fr/ArmsTech/
Archetype / FlyOnNet Frank.Lyonnet@inria.fr
Frank is very keen on C language and has written several
serious applications, ranging from an automatic code-generator
for sprites to 'For Your Eyes Only', (FYEO in short), one of
the best shareware picture viewer around (Needless to say:
It's our favourite at Arm's Tech ! ;-) ).
He's now working on a nice project called IVStng.
FYEO is available from his Web page :
http://zenon.inria.fr/rodeo/personnel/Frank.Lyonnet/Dark/Acorn/
ArmOric elisei@imag.fr
No need to introduce this member (huummm!), ArmOric is an old
Acorn-addict that even knows what is Arthur ! He likes very
much coding ARM with the BASIC but his fave activity is
punning with his applications names (really !). He rarely
writes very long programs, because as any 'Real programmer',
he starts getting bored when his effects run. Nevertheless
he's already hit the Acorn scene several times with effects
never seen on any (low-end) computer, especially in
'smooth-3D' objects (not polygon-based). Highlights are:
Plasmas, Rotating sprites, Fluids™, Light-sourced objects,
molecules with perfectly smooth spheres, Windows 95 (Ooops,
I'm getting too far ;-) ), to name a few...
After having participated to the X-Treme demo, he will
make some of the (probably) first programs tailor-made for the
StrongArm...

baah
baah is without doubt our member whose works most closely
resemble demos from the Amiga sZeNe. Unlike ArmOric, he
prefers writing fewer programs, but with more efficiency at
all levels (speed/memory usage). Unfortunately, he's got a
little machine and NO hard-disc (Amazing what you can do with
a floppy-disc and a LOT of patience) !
As a future-teacher, he likes explaining every little detail,
and abundently comments his ASM-sources. As a consequence of
this, he also wrote several technical articles, available on
the server: http://sidonie.imag.fr/AcornDemos/Techies/
(I'm happy to say that baah hasn't even started his military
service ! ;-) )
Coders should contact him at :

GUS
Our last member (the only one living far away from the french
Alps). Although he did some demos and demos tools in the past
(GrimAce being another fast sprite plotting-routine generator),
he's above all a specialist of the system software. His most
ambitious work is probably Wacky-Talky, a great system project,
available on our Web pages. He's just finishing Freeze, a
shareware utility to save/restore a machine state, which can
too be used for the fastest boot ever (3 seconds on his A5000).

hil
hil spent a very long time polishing his game, Quark,
published by Oregan. This game is a 50 Hz, two players
shoot'em up, with 5 huge levels, 6 different space ships,
power-ups, impressive weapons and unlike other games of this
kind I know, it has graphics that makes you forget you have an
Archimedes (you know what I mean ?).
After getting married, he left for Taiwan where he'll teach
mathematics but won't be able to code for at least one year.
Speedster Harry
He's our artist: He wrote the tracks for QUARK and used
to produce nice pictures using Pov. He's just come back from the army,
with plenty of good ideas for graphics, scenarii and music tools.
Vif
Although not a 'new member', he hadn't any pseudonym until recently.
Some years ago, he did the end graphics for Quark with Artworks. Now,
he quite masters this program and uses both Artworks and a 24 bits
photo retouching software to produce quite cute graphics.
